Brandee Braunds and Summer Gilbert are hair stylists at American Beauty Salon in Monrovia who have been tapped to style the floats in the 135th Rose Parade on Jan. 2, 2024.
They are two of eight stylists selected by the Tournament of Roses for the honor.Braunds, 51, and Gilbert, 43, have worked at American Beauty Salon in downtown Monrovia for 13 and nine years, respectively.
Braunds started working at American Beauty Salon after graduating from beauty school in 1992. She lives in Monrovia with her husband and three children.
Gilbert is a Southern California native who moved to the San Gabriel Valley 10 years ago. She has two teenage children.
Both women said they were honored to be chosen to style the floats in the Rose Parade.
