Doja Cat has been generating attention with her fashion choices recently. With the help of her creative director Brett Alan Nelson, with whom she’s worked since 2019, Doja has delivered some scene-stealing style moments.
Her most recent fashion power move came courtesy of Schiaparelli. At the Billboard Music Awards, the artist walked the red carpet in an avant-garde creation from Daniel Roseberry’s spring 2022 couture collection, comprising a molded velvet bodice with an “aerodynamic neckline” and an exposed sheer chest—Doja Cat nodded to modesty with gold nipple pasties by Agent Provocateur—a crepe maxi skirt, and a sweeping silk illusion train.

Doja added Roseberry’s signature surreal accessories: sculptural earrings, rings, and a planet-shaped clutch by the designer, a pair of Schiaparelli’s divisive gold shoes complete with carved toes, plus nail rings by Bijules. Yet more gold arrived in the form of the four trophies she scooped on the night.
Photographer Jacob Webster captured Doja’s gleaming Schiaparelli moment, which she shared on Instagram, along with detail shots of her elaborate beauty look by Ernesto Casillas, and slicked-back hair by Jared “JStayReady” Henderson.
While her Schiaparelli gown exudes Old Hollywood glamour, Doja’s Grammys look last month was every inch Y2K. She chose a crystal-choked blue Versace gown, diamond jewelry and Coperni’s cult glass bag made in collaboration with Heven.
