Kim Kardashian has a new chair in her life.
On Monday, June 26, the Skims cofounder shared new campaign photos, shot by Steven Klein, from her latest Skims Swim collection. The drop includes Rubberized Scuba Swim and Faux Leather Swim pieces, from bikinis and one-pieces to cover-ups, which will be available on skims.com on June 27 at 12 p.m. ET.
Leaning into the BDSM of it all, Kardashian was photographed using a male model as a lawn chair, because this is fashion, baby.
In one image, Kardashian models a black zip-front bikini, styled with matching opera gloves, knee-high boots, oversize sunglasses, and a headband, while resting atop a greased-up male model. In another pic shared on Instagram, she ditches her top, covering her chest with the glove-clad forearm.

“Steven and I have collaborated on so many iconic images over the years, and I’m grateful that we once again have partnered on Skims for the new swim campaign,” said Kardashian in a press release. “His creative touch and vision for this collection are exactly what make him the incredible photographer he is today.”
In the same release, Klein referred to Kardashian as an “icon.”
“Icons exert a magnetic pull that allows the viewer to superimpose a dream reality, a kind of hyper-existence,” said Klein. “Icons are symbols, the alphabet of desire. Kim speaks this language. Our work together has been an exploration of the power of the image, the beauty of experimentation/the alchemical process of icon.” (It’s a good thing Kim “speaks this language,” because I’m not entirely sure what the “the alchemical process of icon” is supposed to mean.)
This is hardly Kim Kardashian’s first high-fashion, editorial-esque Skims Swim campaign. Earlier this year the 42-year-old was photographed among aliens by Harmony Korine for her spring Swim drop. Aliens, oiled-up models…who will she find to costar in her next campaign?
