Before The Parent Trap and Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan got her start as a child model (I’m literally obsessed with this pic of her and fellow tiny star Mischa Barton), and as she makes her slow return to the spotlight, she’s back in print, this time wearing…Crocs!
Modeling the new MCM x Crocs Mega Crush Clogs in her home of Dubai, the ginger looks super comfortable in front of the camera. And a little like Riley Keough, honestly. Having returned to moviemaking with last year’s Netflix rom-com Falling for Christmas, Lohan is sort of firing on all cylinders, career-wise. And in her personal life, of course, as she just gave birth to her first child, a son.
“I was honored when asked by MCM to partner on their latest collaboration with Crocs. The new MCM x Crocs Mega Crush is equal parts playful and chic. The shoe combines style, versatility, and comfort—all important to me when choosing the perfect fashion accessory,” said Lohan of the campaign in a press release. “It was an extra special touch to shoot here in Dubai, the place that I call home. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!”
These shoes are certainly fancier than your average Crocs and are “crafted with a unique electrolyzed mirror platform,” per a press release, which we think means the shiny part near the heel?
There’s also the mini belt bag, which can be worn with the shoes or separately. For spare change and whatnot.
But when will Lindsay Lohan return to designing, please? She recently reflected on the not-well-received fashion collection of her 2010s heyday, remarking, “I haven’t gone to Paris in so long. I haven’t gone to Fashion Week. I miss that. I do miss being involved in the fashion scene. It’s funny. I think about when I was creative director for Ungaro, and I got so much backlash for putting nipple tassels on the girls on the runway, and now everyone does that, or they’re not wearing anything, and I’m like [laughs], ‘That’s not fair!’” Time for a comeback?
