Thanks to its many collaborations with high-end designers, Target has become an unlikely destination for runway-worthy pieces at budget-friendly pieces—and you can shop its most anticipated one yet right this minute. You don’t have to be a regular at Saks (or even Nordstrom) to snag your dream wardrobe this year—just head to Target.
The retailer tapped up-and-coming labels Sergio Hudson, Kika Vargas, and La Ligne for 2022’s fall designer collection, which hits its site and select stores on October 9. Each capsule is inspired by the brands’ main lines, but with ultra-accessible twists: Pieces come in sizes XXS through 4XL, and most of them cost $40 or less. (The most expensive items are two $70 coats.) The pieces are current yet trend-proof—think dependable sweaters, work-ready trousers, and airy wrap blouses—and built for layering, meaning they’ll fit seamlessly into your existing fall lineup and carry you through winter.
Like last year’s fall designer collection, which included the likes of Christopher John Rogers and Sandy Liang, the 2022 slate is packed with brands to watch. Thankfully, it’s never been easier to buy into these labels; unfortunately, we can pretty much guarantee that the capsules will sell out quickly. Get to know each designer below—and snag your favorite pieces while you still can.
La Ligne
Founded by former fashion editors Valerie Macaulay and Meredith Melling and industry veteran Molly Howard in 2016, La Ligne’s cult-favorite knitwear is a perennial favorite among Net-a-Porter and Nordstrom shoppers—and now you can pick it up at Target too. Kika Vargas
Bogotá, Colombia–born designer Kika Vargas mixes the whimsical with the wearable in her eponymous line. Her Target capsule is no different: Scalloped hems, Ganni-esque collars, voluminous silhouettes, and loud prints abound, bringing playful energy to the outfits you’re imagining for this fall.
Sergio Hudson
After dressing Beyoncé and Michelle Obama, designer Sergio Hudson is bringing the spirit of his impeccably tailored runway pieces to the masses. In his Target designer collection, you’ll find bold suit separates and printed dresses that provide an instant confidence boost in the office—and beyond.
