Arc’teryx opens in south London
Canadian high-performance mountain gear and apparel brand Arc’teryx is set to open a new store in Battersea Power Station on July 8, marking the brand’s third London location.
Located on the upper ground floor of the Power Station, the 250-square-meter store will house Arc’teryx’s technical gear and equipment for all mountain activities including mountaineering, climbing, trail running, hiking and skiing/snowboarding, as well as footwear and accessories.
Likewise, the store will have a seasonal focus on iconic Arc’teryx designs such as the fan-favourite Atom LT hoody and the brand’s industry-leading Alpha SV hardshell jacket, which was originally released in 1998.
Beyond shopping, this Arc’teryx outpost also aims to be a hub for London’s outdoor community. It will host community events and activities, including climbing gym nights, film screenings, group runs and more throughout the year.
In particular, the store will open with the Norvan Line
The new store joins other European locations in Piccadilly, and a brand store in Covent Garden, and is a major milestone in the Canadian brand’s expansion through Europe.
The store opening will be celebrated with a Grand Opening Climbing Party with bouldering and rope climbing alongside UK athlete Mina Leslie Wujastyk, at Parthian in Wandsworth, on July 7, as well as an all-day celebration on July 8 with complimentary drinks and bespoke cakes from local partners at the store.
