While the statement tees popular in the 2000s tended to feature ironic messages and suggestive puns, J.Lo’s 2023 version is a lot more earnest and way more highbrow because it’s a quote from the Persian poet Rumi.
“You are the soul of the universe and your name is love,” reads Lopez’s T-shirt, which she wore with a pair of black yoga pants, a colorful watch, and a large shoulder bag. Plus her traditional oversized sunglasses and a delicate silver heart necklace.
Lopez appears to be getting back to the day-to-day now that she has returned to California following her already iconic Italian vacation. Mrs. Affleck was seen mixing a little business with pleasure on her trip to the Amalfi coast, sunbathing while shooting an ad for her Delola cocktail brand, and taking a personal professional photographer to shoot the actor and singer while she enjoyed a fancy pasta lunch at a restaurant with friends.
Because when Jennifer Lopez does a thing, whether that’s putting on a concert tour or taking vacation photos or sporting a statement tee, you know she’s going to put her whole heart into it. To paraphrase another famous poet: Sincerity, thy name is J.Lo.
