No cutouts, latex, or dramatic thigh slits? Is that really you, Kylie Jenner?
On May 27, the 25-year-old reality star hit the streets of Paris in a vintage-inspired black halter dress with a corseted bodice and a flouncy, full-length skirt that immediately brought to mind Marilyn Monroe’s iconic white dress from the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. Jenner fully leaned into the look’s Old Hollywood glamour by leaving her voluminous brunette blowout at the mercy of the wind and keeping the accessories minimal.
Yes, the same girl who wore a giant fake lion’s head on her shoulder at Paris Fashion Week in January kept things simple with a pair of pointed-toe slingbacks, a black clutch, and gold earrings. Jenner hiked up the skirt to show a bit of leg in a series of picturesque Paris balcony photos on Instagram, captioned with a single rose emoji.
She followed up the romantic ensemble with yet another off-brand outfit on May 28, stepping out of a Chanel store in Paris wearing a white tennis skirt and matching cropped jacket, pairing the almost demure, logo-less ensemble with small silver hoops, black sunglasses, and wearable black heels.
Could we be looking at the Sofia Richie Grainge–ification of Kylie Jenner? At the very least, this look falls right into the quiet luxury category.
Of course, these outfits don’t necessarily mean Jenner is tossing out her collection of sheer dresses anytime soon. Just take a look at the backless leather ensemble she broke out for Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour stop in Paris on May 26. Women contain multitudes.
